Leslie Bakke, of Clara City, died Thursday, August 18, 2022, at the Clara City Care Center at the age of 74.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo. Pastor Kristine Isder will officiate and burial will be in Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.

Leslie Duwayne Hugh Bakke was born December 10, 1947, in Milan, MN, to Helge and Lydia (Hoaas) Bakke. He was baptized and confirmed at Kviteseid Lutheran Church in Milan. Leslie attended and graduated from Milan High School in 1966. After high school, Leslie apprenticed as a plumber and electrician with his father, Helge. He also drove OTR trucks for most of his career. He excelled at cabinet building and adored stock car racing. He enjoyed spending time with his nephews and nieces, and provided long-term care for his mother, Lydia, before her passing.
Leslie is survived by his sister, Sharon (Kermit) Brown of St. Louis Park, MN; nephew Kenneth (Patricia) Callanan of Plainview, MN, niece Kathy Hermen of Vandalia, MO, niece Susan Callanan Dyer of Columbia, MO, niece Tamara (Brandt) Legler of Minneapolis, niece Maria (Scott) Phillips of Apple Valley, MN, nephew Cameron Brown of Thornton, CO; and several other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Lois (Ray) Callanan, and nephew, Leroy Callanan.
