Jacob Sanow died Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the Madison Hospital in Madison at the age of 36.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home of Granite Falls (845 HWY 212 West).

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 5-7:00 PM at Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo (629 North 3rd Street) and for one hour before the funeral on Saturday in Granite Falls.

Jacob also known as Muff and famously known as Daddy was born to Lisa (Wahl) Siverson and Duane Sanow on December 30th, 1985. Jacob grew up in Montevideo and most recently lived in Madison, MN. Jacob graduated from Montevideo Senior High School in 2004. Jacob went to WyoTech in Laramie, WY for Mechanic and Business Management. He then moved to Fargo, ND for some time and worked there as a Mechanic. He then moved back to Montevideo and worked in several local areas as a Mechanic. He then worked for his father for a short time before going to work at Schweiters for several years. He started working at Ziegler CAT in Madison, MN in April 2022.

When he moved back to Montevideo, he was united with Amber who was the love of his life. He always told her “I got you Babe”. He loved everything about toys. He was into Go Carts when he was younger and that love for toys continued into adulthood. He could always be found with a toy in his yard or garage. He had snowmobiles, ATV’s, Mustangs, a Fishhouse and most recently purchased a Jeep. He loved to fix things and “figure things out”. He worked on projects with his father a few times and was proud of the work he did on the 1957 To Kool Fur Skool bus. Jacob also enjoyed working on the farm with Greg in the spring and the fall as well as working with livestock. He enjoyed traveling and has been to many places such as Nicaragua, Germany, Mexico, and many states in the US. If you knew Jacob’s laugh, you would be able to find him in a room just for his laugh. Though he was a big man and sometimes made some crazy faces, he truly was a big teddy bear and had the biggest heart. He could calm you down from a panic attack and always knew the right words to say.

The highlight of his life was his girls. We all wondered if he would ever become a dad since he was always so good with kids and he sure became the best dad ever. He would read books to Piper, tuck her into bed, and took her many places, she was his little side kick. Piper was his sweetheart.  Arya came 6 weeks ago and he was living the dream.  He loved to live on the edge and loved to make others live on the edge with him.

Those who will continue to keep his memory alive are his significant other Amber Ward; daughters: Piper AnnaLynn Sanow and Arya Marjean Sanow; parents: Lisa and Greg Siverson and Jan Sanow; siblings: Holly (Schuyler) Pulford, Michelle (Terry) Schuldt, Mackenzie (Joshua) Snortum, Thomas (Zach) Herrington, Megan and Callie Siverson; grandparents: Lorelie Wahl, Donald and Janyce Sanow, Eric and Nona Siverson; great-grandmother, Norma Siverson; mother and father-in-law: Sandy (Dean) Van Binsbergen, Ross (Melanie) Holmlund; sister-in-law, Alisha (Brett) Drexler; brother-in-law, Cole (Emily) Van Binsbergen; several nieces and nephews; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Those who are enjoying his company now are his Father Duane Sanow, Brother Joshua DeCock, Uncle Ray Sanow, and Grandpa Merrill Wahl.
