Curtis Lund Tjosaas was born in Montevideo on September 26, 1936, to Christian and Ethel (Lund) Tjosaas. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church. He attended Montevideo High School. Curtis married Audrey Borg on May 23, 1959, at Salem Lutheran Church in Montevideo, MN.  Curtis and Audrey farmed for 50 years north of Montevideo in Rosewood Township. Curtis was a very successful Vigortone Feed Salesman, and he won many awards during this time of his life! In addition to farming land, Curtis operated a Farrow to Finish Hog operation of 1,800 hogs. He also raised dairy cows, beef cattle, registered German Shepherd dogs, and horses.  He took great pride in his daily farm operation!  His passion for farming showed in his hard work and his smile! His wife, Audrey, helped with farming endeavors. Curtis was a long-time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.  Curtis volunteered as church president and treasurer, deacon, and usher, as well as being the church cemetery sexton and church custodian and grounds keeper.   Curtis and Audrey moved to Montevideo in 1998.  Curt also worked at Innovex and MTI and did maintenance work at First National and MNWEST banks.

Curtis loved the community of farm life and helping his neighbors. He also liked gardening, animals, hunting, music, and baking. He was a very hard worker and loved his family dearly.  Curtis and Audrey were happily married for 64 years. Audrey says that Curtis was a very kind and loving husband.

Curtis is survived by his wife, Audrey; two daughters: Joanelle (Mark) Sannerud of Granite Falls and Debra (Jon) Huseby of Willmar; six grandchildren: Luke (Heather) Sannerud, Megan (Jon) Schwaegerl, Lydia (Blaine) Weber, Sarah Sannerud, Matthew (Danielle) Huseby, and Joseph (Nicole) Sannerud; eight great-grandchildren: Kalli and Brody Sannerud, Addison and Griffin Schwaegerl, Bryson and Sophie Huseby, and Emery Weber; and In-laws LaVonne and Darrol Olsen, Jerry Borg, Marilyn Dahl, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his in-laws, Julius and Myrtle Borg, his sister, Hermoine and (Gene) Barron; a great-grandson, Kaden Huseby; two nephews, Steven and David Becker, sisters- and brothers-in-laws; Delores and Earl Rhode, Derrold Dahl, and Darlene Borg.

Blessed be his memory.
