Beverly Anderson Obituary

Beverly Anderson, of Dawson, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Banner Rehabilitation Hospital in Mesa, AZ, surrounded by the thoughts and prayers of many loved ones, at the age of 80.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church of Baxter, rural Dawson.  Rev. Matt Danielson will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 12, from 5-7:00 PM at Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo and for one hour before the service at the church.  Arrangements are with Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson.

Beverly Hildegard (Moseng) Anderson was born June 18, 1942 to Henry and Josie (Morseth) Moseng in Montevideo, MN. She lived near Granite Falls until 1946 when the family moved to the farm near Montevideo where she grew up. She was baptized August 2, 1942 and confirmed June 10, 1956 at Baxter Church. She attended country school District #5 thru 6th grade, then went to town school, riding the bus. She graduated from Montevideo High School in 1960. Bev was united in marriage to Arden Anderson (the love of her life) on April 8, 1961 at Baxter Church. Together they raised four children: Brian, Todd, Vicki and Lori. All four were baptized and confirmed at Baxter Church and eventually Vicki was married there. She was fortunate to be a stay at home mom until 1986 when she went to work for Moseng Chiropractic until 2001.

Bev enjoyed dancing, especially with Arden, camping, golfing years ago and shopping. Her flower gardens meant a lot to her. She was an active, life time member of Baxter Church, serving in several office capacities in the Women of the ELCA group. She also taught Sunday School for many years and especially remembers a little boy answering when she asked the class "what happens on Easter Sunday?" and the  little boy said, "the Easter bunny comes!"  Bev and Arden wintered in Arizona for 18 years and also traveled to Norway, England, Hawaii, Canada and several states.  She carried on the Norwegian tradition of making lefse for family and friends every holiday season.

Bev is survived by daughters, Vicki Anderson and Lori Anderson; grandchildren: Rachel Klaphake, Andrew Klaphake, Nicolas Knapper and Lukas Knapper; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Susan and Ron Olson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Arden in 2020; sons: Todd in 2011 and Brian in 2017; brothers, Harlan (2008) and Elwood (2020); brothers-in-law, Arlen Anderson (1999) and Donnie Anderson (age 5) along with sisters-in-law, Janice Anderson (2008) and Carol Moseng (2011).

Blessed be her memory.
